If you read my second post, Behave Like a Normal Employee, you can probably already imagine what my third day would look like.
As a Minervan, asking me to sit for a long time without talking was killing me. Unfortunately, all the other kids in our company are from Standford and Cornell, and they are so much better at sitting than me. That’s maybe traditional elite schools are still prominent because they fit better into the social needs. For me, I was dead to the point that I need to tell everyone I’m going home to nap before 5 pm.
In addition, sitting in the same room with my boss stressed me out even though I’m pretty sure the reality might be very different from my imagination.
It is very very tiring to keep thinking about a person in your mind. If you never have had an in-person job, you can think of the time when you sit next to your high school crush but take out the happy part of your feeling, and you will understand how energy-consuming it is.
Good night.
