The article referenced much of what appeared to me as “comparing.” I wondered how you felt about the effectiveness of “comparing” as a personal learning and growth tool?” Sorry if I wasn’t more clear.
Interesting! I think it's quite the opposite. Personal growth is a very individual and context-dependent process that is difficult to compare because it often relates to decision-making, personal values and desires. People tend to compare more on a surface level (e.g., social signals) when individual differences aren't recognized or understood. I find focusing on personal growth a much more supportive process because it creates much more empathy and genuine connection too.
I am confused. I think it could be interpreted that way, but not my main intention. But yes, I think from interacting other people, I am comparing who I am in the past, and who I am now.
I wondered how we reveal ourselves in the "mirror of relationship" with others.
Can this be accomplished without falling into the trap of "comparison". But stay in the realm of "what is" in each moment, in revelation of self. Am I confused? Of course.
How do you feel about comparing or comparisons?
Comparing about what?

Are you saying the article was not about comparing?
