A few thoughts

On the integration of school and industry--I find it a little bit nervous to see that each school basically just becomes the training ground for profit-seeking, capitalistic entities. I worry that one of the three purposes--ethics--will be at risk when the goal of their education becomes optimizing a particular company's profit. In short, I don't know if the company's interest is aligned with the students interest. If this is to work, the industry needs to fundamentally change their assumptions of their reasons to exist.

Also, while it is important to develop real-world experience, I am also wondering how to help students build that larger cognitive framework (abilities) that are transferable. Most organizations solve a very particular problem—which often requires only a subset of frameworks. How to make sure that students get the larger picture instead of being pigeonholed into a particular way of thinking.

Another important point about education I think is missing in the Purpose section is how to be a fulfilled human being and a responsible citizen. I don't have an answer to what these terms mean butI current education often leaves these out completely--things like how to be financially prepared or exploring what it means to live a happy life for everyone, I feel like these need to be incorporated into the future of education as well.

Cool cool!

(1) If you think the capitalistic entities isn't the best way, what might be a great playground for people to really learn real world problem?

(2) I agree. When I think about abilities, I'm thinking of #HCs.

(3) I like the responsible citizen definition. There are so many purpose: discover your self, understand what you want to do... I'm still puzzled about it.
